Caucasus Studies and RUCARR at Malmö University are very pleased to offer a screening (online) of the Georgian film Namme by director Zaza Khalvashi. Welcome to watch the film on November 23 at 5 pm (Swedish time) and meet the cinematographer of the movie, Giorgi Shvelidze, together with Prof. Tamta Khalvashi. The event is part of the program Meet Georgian Culture at Malmö University (link).
The film Namme (2017) is written and directed by Zaza Khalvashi The screenplay is based on Georgian legends and stories, and is characterized as an art fantasy drama film. The film is a co-production between Georgia and Lithuania. It was selected as the Georgian contribution and submitted for 91st Academy Awards for Best Foreign Language Film in 2018.
